The 19th annual awards committee unanimously agreed that 2022 should be the year to herald a new awards category born out of a need to recognise and accelerate change by celebrating LGBT+ changemakers. Discussions were held with prominent LGBT+ support organisations, HR and diversity consultants and leading inclusion charities.

”Marie’s an individual winner who gives special consideration to the needs of staff or clientele within the LGBT+ community and through her role at EML. Most importantly, she was chosen by our readers from the business community,” commented Charles Davies, Coordinator at the Gamechanger Progress Champion Awards.

Sometimes just being yourself is enough to enact change; this is indeed the case for Marie.
